Terms and conditions
1. Definitions
- “Agency” refers to Maison Tison.
- “Client” refers to any individual, household, or company engaging the Agency to provide childcare recruitment services.
- “Candidate” refers to any nanny or childcare professional introduced by the Agency.
- "Engagement” refers to any form of employment or working arrangement—permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time, live-in, or otherwise—between the Client and a Candidate.
- “Introduction” means the provision of a Candidate’s details (CV, profile, etc.), or the facilitation of contact, interviews, or communication by the Agency to the Client.
2. Acceptance of Terms
- The Agency beginning a search on the Client’s behalf;
- The sharing of any Candidate information.
3. Scope of Service
Maison Tison introduces professional childcare staff based on the Client’s brief. The Agency conducts reference and qualification checks, but the Client is solely responsible for assessing the Candidate’s suitability and making the final hiring decision.
The Client must not exchange or request personal contact details (including phone number, email, or social media) from any Candidate prior to a confirmed offer or trial. All communication must go through the Agency until an engagement is agreed and invoiced.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Managing payroll, tax, and employment rights
- Complying with UK employment legislation
- Clearly defining the role, hours, salary, and expectations
To support clients in this process, Maison Tison offers referrals to trusted nanny payroll services that can handle HMRC registration, payslips, taxes, and pensions. While the Agency does not provide payroll, we aim to make the setup process as smooth and compliant as possible.
The Client must notify the Agency immediately upon making a formal offer of employment. The Agency will then present the offer to the candidate on the Client’s behalf.
5. Fees & Payment Terms
- The Client agrees to pay a placement fee equal to 15% of the Candidate’s gross annual salary
- The fee is due within 7 calendar days of the invoice date or prior to the Candidate’s start date, whichever is earlier.
- No Candidate may begin work until payment has been received in full.
- Fees are non-refundable, except as outlined in the Replacement Guarantee.
6. Additional Charges
- Extension of a temporary placement beyond the agreed period.
- Conversion of a temporary placement to a permanent role.
7. Replacement Guarantee
- The full placement fee was paid on time
- The Candidate was not mistreated or misled
- The role, hours, and conditions remained as agreed
- The Agency is notified within 7 days of the Candidate’s departure
8. Confidentiality & Data Protection
All Candidate information is confidential and must only be used for the purpose of making a hiring decision. The Client agrees not to share, store, or distribute Candidate data beyond what is necessary for the hiring process.
All personal data will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Data will not be transferred outside the UK without appropriate safeguards.
The Client must not refer Candidates to third parties or employ them outside of the Agency process.
